On April 26, 2025, the Jawana Foundation successfully organized the TOEFL Placement Test for students who had been shortlisted through a highly competitive process. This important event marked a key step in our mission to empower young Afghans by creating greater access to academic and professional opportunities.
Earlier this year, we received an overwhelming 1,633 applications from motivated students across Afghanistan. After a thorough evaluation, our team shortlisted 317 candidates based on merit and potential.
The exam was held at the Kabul Cambridge Institute, whose team generously collaborated with us to provide a professional and welcoming environment.
Out of the 317 shortlisted applicants, 86 students participated in the placement test (16 boys and 70 girls).
While many shortlisted candidates were unable to attend due to living outside of Kabul or personal reasons, the turnout was inspiring and filled with energy and determination.
As part of our commitment to supporting youth education, the Jawana Foundation has allocated 30 spots for the TOEFL preparation program — 20 seats for female students and 10 seats for male students.
The placement test helped us ensure a fair and transparent selection process, identifying the most dedicated students for this opportunity.
We extend our sincere gratitude to the Kabul Cambridge Institute Office for their partnership and to our dedicated volunteers, Alina Haidari Fatima Rezaei, and Mina Wafaie for their monitoring and support during the exam.
Final applicants will be announced in the near future through our social media and official website.
Stay tuned for more updates — and thank you once again to everyone who applied, participated, and supported this initiative!
