The Duolingo Prep Course recently selected 15 (2 selected later) exceptional Afghan girls from 85 applicants through a well-rounded process. On July 11, 2024, all candidates took a placement test covering their English skills for the Duolingo English Test. Academic performance, motivation, and dedication were also considered, with a focus on diversity and potential impact in their communities.

The course will start on July 20th, 2024 at Kabul-Cambridge Institute. The course offers a range of benefits, including access to educational materials, mentorship, and peer support, all designed to prepare the girls for success in the Duolingo English Test. The long-term goal is to help them secure scholarships and pursue higher education, turning their aspirations into reality and empowering future generations of Afghan girls.
