On August 15, 2024, about a month into the Duolingo Prep Course, we noticed that some of our students were already quite prepared for the actual Duolingo English Test. However, due to the cost of the test and our desire to ensure they scored well, we wanted to boost their confidence and improve their scores. To help with this, we connected them with individuals who had already taken the test, allowing them to learn valuable tips and strategies.
We were fortunate to introduce our students to Nazer Hussain Batori, one of our volunteers based in Pakistan. Nazer Hussain successfully passed the Duolingo English Test in 2023 with a score of 145 and also achieved a score of 102 in the TOEFL exam. In a Zoom session held on August 15, he shared his experience with our students, providing guidance on exam preparation and highlighting key tips for success. During the online session, the girls learned how to build their vocabulary list effectively, discovered new ways to prepare, and identified critical aspects to focus on during the test.
Thanks to Nazer Hussain’s valuable insights, we are hopeful that the girls in our Duolingo Prep Course will achieve the successful results they are aiming for in their upcoming test days.
